Export Your Data

Export Your Data downloads your Petboost records as CSV files, one card for each kind of record. Exporting deletes nothing, and cancelling a subscription is a separate step.

The page heading reads Take your data with you, and only owners and admins can open it. The files open in Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet app.

Open the export page

Do this before you change or cancel your subscription.

  1. Open Billing.
  2. At the bottom of the page, select Cancel under Thinking of leaving?. Without an active subscription, the button is Export your data under Need your data?.

Cancel on Billing opens the export page and does not cancel anything yet. Without an active subscription, Export Your Data is also in the sidebar. On an Enterprise account with an active subscription, Billing has no such button, so search Export Your Data in the command palette, which works on any plan.

Download a CSV

Each card is one export. Some download at once, and others prepare the file in a dialog first.

  1. Open Export Your Data.
  2. On the card you want, select Download CSV to download it straight away, or Prepare Export to build the file first.
  3. After Prepare Export, wait for Export Ready, then select Download CSV in the dialog.
  4. To get the same file again, select Download Again on the card.

Services, Team Members, Resources and Packages download straight away with Download CSV. Pets, Pet Owners, Package Credit Balances, All Past Appointments, Future Appointments and Future Recurring Bookings use Prepare Export, which shows the row count and the file size before you download. If an export fails, select Try Again, or Get help to message the team.

Cancel the subscription after you export

Do this once you have the files you need. Export first if you want a copy of your records.

  1. Open Export Your Data.
  2. Select Cancel at the bottom of the page. It opens the Stripe customer portal, where you cancel.

While a paid plan is still active, the page lists What you'll lose access to. Your records stay on Calendar Lite, and online bookings, payments and automations pause when you drop off a paid plan.
