Use it to see a pet's grooming at a glance and to spot patterns across the seasons. The Care & Grooming Templates tab appears when your business signed up with pet grooming as a service category, or has at least one service in the grooming category.
View a pet's grooming history
- Open Customers & Pets and select Manage on the pet.
- Open the Care & Grooming Templates tab and choose History.
- Optional: choose a season to see only the visits in it.
If the pet has no completed grooming appointments yet, Grooming History reads No grooming history yet, and says that completed grooming appointments for the pet will appear there as a timeline.
What each entry shows
Each entry is a completed or paid appointment that included a grooming service. Entries run newest first, as cards along a vertical timeline. Each card shows:
- The date, with the day of the week
- The grooming services done at that visit
- The team member's name and photo, when there is one
- The session notes from the appointment's customer-visible business note
- The photos attached to that note, as thumbnails
Select a photo to open it full size.
Filter by season
The pills above the timeline show All, then each Australian meteorological season with its number of visits. A season with no visits is hidden.
| Season | Months |
|---|---|
| Summer | December, January, February |
| Autumn | March, April, May |
| Winter | June, July, August |
| Spring | September, October, November |
Filtering by season helps you track seasonal coat changes, compare how often a pet comes in across the year, or see how its style has changed.
Keep the style for the next groom
History records what was done. To make sure whoever grooms the pet next does it the same way, save the style on the pet.
- Open Customers & Pets and select Manage on the pet.
- Open the Care & Grooming Templates tab and choose Preferences.
- Under Grooming Templates, write the style on Head and Face, Body and Tail or Feet and Legs, and add reference photos.
- Select Save & Publish.
The templates carry a Visible to Pet Owner badge, because the pet owner can read them. See Timeline & Notes.
