Social Studio reads the item's name, price and description from Petboost, and your logo, colours and font from your branding, then lets you change any of it before you export. Petboost does not post the image for you. You download a PNG and upload it yourself.
Open it from Marketing & Sales > Social Studio, or select Open Social Studio under Social Posts on Settings > Branding.
Make a post
- Open Social Studio.
- Under Promote, choose Service, Package, Membership or Course, then pick the item.
- Optional: edit the Eyebrow and the Headline, and up to three Value bullet points.
- Optional: under Photo, select Upload photo, then zoom and drag the photo to position it inside the frame.
- Under Style, choose Spotlight, which is photo-forward, Bold, which is type-forward, or Value stack, a list on a card.
- Under Format, choose Square (1080 x 1080), Landscape (1080 x 810) or Story (1080 x 1920).
- Optional: under Logo, choose Horizontal, Square or None, and under Colours, change Text, Checkmarks or Badges.
- Select Download PNG.
On a computer the file downloads, exported at twice the format's size. On a phone or in the installed app, the button reads Save to Photos: a preview opens first, then select Save to Photos again and choose Save Image on an iPhone, or Photos on Android. If the phone cannot share the image, press and hold it and save it from there.
Add a link sticker to a story
A story can carry the link to put behind an Instagram link sticker.
- Open Social Studio and pick the item.
- Under Format, choose Story.
- Switch on Link sticker.
- Optional: edit Button text.
- Under Links to, choose where the sticker sends people.
- Select Copy beside the link.
- Download the story, then add Instagram's link sticker over the placeholder and paste the link and the button text.
| Links to | Where it sends people |
|---|---|
| Booking page (this item) | Your booking page with the service, package or course already selected. A membership opens the booking page itself |
| Booking page | Your booking page |
| Showcase (this item) | Your showcase page, opened at the service. For any other item it opens the page itself |
| Showcase page | Your showcase page |
| Custom URL | Any address you type |
Every link except a Custom URL carries via=InstagramStory, so visits arriving through it are marked as coming from the post.
Make an available times post
An available times post shows the slots that are open, laid out as a branded post. Petboost asks the real booking engine which times are free.
- Open Marketing Hub and select Available times post. In Social Studio, Available times under Post type opens the same page.
- Under Check availability for, pick a typical pet.
- Choose the Service.
- Optional: set Starting from, and choose 1, 3, 5 or 7 under Days to show.
- Optional: switch on Show taken times to cross out times you normally run that have gone, or Busy-day dots to show the same busy-day dot as your calendar.
- Optional: to strike out a time on the post, select it. Under Blocked out, the Clear button, which counts the struck-out times, puts them back.
- Optional: edit the Eyebrow, the Headline and the Badge, and choose a Style, a Finish and a Format.
- Select Download PNG.
The pet is only an input. The times depend on the pet's breed and size and on your booking rules, so pick a typical one. The pet never appears on the post, because the post is public and the pet's name belongs to the customer.
Days with no availability are skipped. A time you strike out stays bookable in Petboost: it only changes the picture. Slots reflect your live availability at the moment you generate the image, so regenerate before you post if the calendar has moved since.
Style offers Editorial, Grid, Poster, Ticket, Board, Photo hero, Split, Rail, Pop and Marquee. Finish offers Light, Dark, Neutral, Glass light and Glass dark. A Story can carry a link sticker here too, with Booking page (this service) and Showcase (this service) in place of the item options.
Make a visit post
A Visit post turns an appointment's report-card photos into a branded Instagram image, with the pet's name on the tile and a caption to copy under the post. Petboost does not post it for you.
- Open the booking from Appointments and select Visit post.
- If more than one pet is on the visit, pick one pet, or all of them together.
- Under Photos, select the report-card photos to include.
- Under Style, choose Spotlight, Bold, Value stack or Photo grid.
- Optional: select Add photo to upload more images to the report card and into the post.
- Switch on We have permission to share this pet.
- Select Download PNG for the format you are previewing, or Save all for Square, Landscape and Story together.
- Select Copy caption, then paste it when you post.
Visit post sits next to Birthday post on the appointment, and in the Mission Control quick actions. It stays hidden when every pet on the appointment is marked as deceased.
Spotlight, Bold and Value stack use the first selected photo. Spotlight is photo-forward with a scalloped crop and a seal, Bold is type-forward with a round photo, and Value stack is a photo band on a card. Photo grid is the full-bleed layout and uses every selected photo. With Photo grid and three or more photos, choose a Photo layout, such as Bento, 2×2 or 3×3.
If you select Download PNG before switching on We have permission to share this pet, the dialog scrolls to that switch. If your terms include a photography clause, the switch is how you confirm that clause covers this post. Add or edit that clause in Policies & Paperwork.
The caption includes your booking page and your business phone, not the owner's number. Under More options, Idea switches the post between Just groomed and First visit, and First visit is chosen for you when this is the pet's first completed visit. More options also holds the Eyebrow, Name on the post, Details line, Logo and Colours. The tile uses your business colours and font, or slate neutrals when those are not set.
Do not put the owner's name, street address or phone on the image. The suburb on the details line is your business suburb.
If an item is missing
The picker only lists items that exist in Petboost. To post about something you have not set up yet, create it first: services in Services, packages in Packages, membership plans in Memberships > Plans, courses in Course Templates.
