Lesson 33

Get found and get booked

Get found: Google reviews and the marketing tools

A review request goes out from the booking, pointed at your own review link once it is in. The health board says who to chase, and Social Studio makes the post about it.

Three tools, one job: get the clients you already have to bring you more. Reviews do it publicly, the health board does it one household at a time, and Social Studio turns either into a post.

A review request points at your Google review link once it is in Settings, so start there.

Ask for the review, and see who you asked

Once the link is saved, every request you send from a booking goes to it, and the client's profile records that it went.

  1. Open Branding and paste your review link into Google Review URL.
  2. Select Publish Changes, tick the box in Before You Publish, then select Publish Changes.
  3. After a visit, open the booking from Appointments.
  4. Select Manage, then Send Google Review SMS or Send Google Review Email under Google Reviews.

A client with no badge was never asked. A blue badge names the channel the request went out on, and both appear when an email and an SMS were sent.

Check

Pasting a Google Maps search URL instead of your review link is the usual mistake. The field only accepts a real review link: anything else turns red with Please enter a valid Google Review URL and is not saved, and a request sent with no link falls back to a Google search for your business.

Read who is slipping away

The health board sorts your whole book into seven columns, from abandoned bookings to clients who have quietly stopped coming.

  1. Open Health Board.
  2. Check the sort reads Recoverable value, and choose it from the sort menu if it does not.
  3. Open a card under At Risk or Potentially Lost for its details.

Abandoned is someone who started a booking and did not finish. At Risk and Potentially Lost are regulars whose gap has stretched past their own pattern. The count is households, not pets.

Tip

Sort by Recoverable value rather than by last visit. The longest-gone client is rarely the one worth the phone call.

Make the post in a minute

Social Studio builds a branded tile from something you already sell: a service, a package, a membership or a course.

  1. Open Social Studio.
  2. Under Promote, choose Service, Package, Membership or Course, then pick the item.
  3. Choose a Style and a Format.
  4. If the format is Story, switch on Link sticker and choose where it goes under Links to.
  5. Select Download PNG, then post it.
Tip

"This item" prefills the booking form or the showcase page with the exact service the post is about. The plain options drop the viewer at the top of the page and make them find it again.
