The Bulk Upload Studio saves a whole day's photos to the right appointments in one go. You add the photos, tag the pets in each one, and save. Each photo lands in the business photos on the Notes & Attachments tab of every appointment its pets have that day, and the owner sees it on the report card. Petboost does not email or text the owner when the Studio saves.
Open the Studio
The Studio works on the date shown in Mission Control and lists every pet booked that day. Your Mission Control filters do not change the list. Cancelled and no-show bookings are left out.
- Open Mission Control and pick the date.
- Open the Studio from one of these:
- On a wide screen with the header expanded, select Bulk Photos.
- On a wide screen with the header compressed, open Actions and select Bulk Photos.
- On a phone, open Quick Actions and select Bulk Photos.
Add photos
Each photo uploads as soon as you add it, and its tile shows the upload progress.
- On a phone, select Add photos and pick the photos from your camera roll.
- On a computer or tablet, drag the photos onto the drop area, or select it to pick them.
iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPEG. Each photo can be up to 10MB. If an upload fails, select Retry on its tile.
Tag the pets in each photo
- Select the photos a pet is in. Select a photo again to clear it.
- In the panel that asks who is in the photos, select each pet in them. A tick on a pet means every selected photo has that pet. A dash means only some of them do. Select the pet again to take it off.
- Optional: To find a pet on a busy day, search for it in the box above the pets.
- Select Next photo to move on to the next untagged photo.
A group photo takes as many pets as are in it.
Use Untagged, Tagged, Saved and All to choose which photos show. Select all untagged selects every photo that has no pet yet.
Check every pet has a photo
The row of pets above the photos shows how many photos each pet has. Pets with no photo come first, so you can see who still needs one before the end of the day. Select a pet to show only its photos, and select it again to show them all.
Save the photos to the appointments
- Select Save at the bottom. The button says how many photos go to how many appointments.
- Check the list. It shows each appointment with its pets, its owner and the photos it will get.
- Select Save without notifying owners.
Petboost saves the appointments one at a time. Each photo is added once to every appointment its pets have that day, so a pet booked twice that day gets the photo on both. Photos already on an appointment stay where they are. Paid appointments take photos too.
To stop part way, select Cancel remaining. The appointments already saved keep their photos, and saving again saves only the rest.
When the save finishes, the results list each appointment. If any failed, select the Retry button, which says how many failed. If your plan includes report card SMS, select Send report cards to text the owners of the saved appointments a link to their report card.
Pick up where you left off
The Studio keeps your photos and tags on this device for that date, and marks the ones already saved as Saved. They survive a refresh, a closed tab, a phone going to sleep, Sign out and Switch user. When you open the Studio again, it shows how many photos it picked up and how many are still untagged.
A photo that was still uploading, or had failed to upload, when the page closed is lost, and the Studio says how many to add again. The Studio removes anything left on the device for more than 7 days.
When a tag is skipped
If a pet's booking is cancelled after you tag it, its photos show Not booked and are skipped when you save. Photos tagged with other pets still save to those pets' appointments.
Remove from the Studio takes the selected photos out of the Studio only. Photos already saved stay on their appointments. To take a photo off an appointment, open the appointment's Notes & Attachments tab.
