"Current vaccinations" means something different for a daycare floor and a one-to-one groom. Protocols let each service say which ones it means.
- Open Policies & Paperwork in Settings.
- On Structured vaccination records, select Add the Australian starter set.
- Select Edit on any protocol your vet sees differently, change Interval (months) or Reminder days, then select Save protocol.
- Open the service from Services and choose its Policies & Paperwork tab.
- With Require vaccination certificate on, choose the vaccines under Required vaccinations, then select Publish Changes.
The starter set is C3, C5, Kennel Cough, Leptospirosis, F3, F4/FIV and Rabbit Calicivirus, each one yours to edit. The treating vet's advice overrides the defaults. Aliases are the other names that turn up on certificates, so a client who types DHPP+KC is matched to C5.
The first Interval sets Next due on a certificate with no typed expiry; a typed expiry always wins. Overrides is why a current C5 counts for a service that requires Kennel Cough. Required vaccinations left empty uses the business list.
Once a service requires vaccinations, its bookings say when one is missing or running out. On the calendar, a booking for that service carries No Vax when the pet has no current certificate the service accepts, and Vax with the days left, such as Vax 12d, when it runs out within 28 days. The client hears about it in their own app: a certificate that is current today but expires before one of their booked visits asks for the renewal with Update records, and names the expiry date.
Check
A protocol a service requires, or a certificate carries, cannot be deleted. Switch off Active instead: it hides the protocol and stops its reminders, and the certificates keep it.
