Lesson 32

Get found and get booked

Your booking link, Showcase page and QR codes

You have two links, not one, and they are for different people. Everything else is a way of putting one of them somewhere.

Petboost gives you two public links. The showcase page is a full page about your business: who you are, what you do, what it costs. The booking link goes straight to the form.

Send a stranger the showcase page. Send a regular the booking link. Getting that backwards is the commonest reason a link "doesn't work" for somebody.

The showcase editor is a list of sections down one side and a live preview down the other. Each section is a switch.

  1. Open Your Booking Page and select Open the editor.
  2. Switch off each section you do not want on the page.
  3. Under Services, switch Quick Estimate and Most booked on or off.
  4. Select Publish, which counts your changes.

Hero is always shown. The rest are yours to turn off, and Services carries two extras: Quick Estimate, the weight buttons above your list, and Most booked, the carousel.

Check

The preview beside the list is the real page, not a mock-up, and it changes as you switch. Nothing changes for your clients until you select Publish.

Put both buttons on your website

Website buttons generates the HTML for a pair of buttons, styled to your site rather than to ours.

  1. Open Your Booking Page, then Quick Copy Links, and select Website Buttons.
  2. Set Button colour, Corners and Font used on your website to match your site.
  3. Select Copy HTML, then paste it into a code block on your website.

Book now goes to the showcase page, Existing Clients to the booking form.

Tip

If your website builder has no code block, use the plain showcase link on a normal button. The generated HTML is a convenience, not a requirement.

Print Materials builds print-ready PDFs from your logo, colours, font and services, each carrying a QR code.

  1. Open Branding.
  2. Under Print Materials, select QR Booking Card or Create a Flyer, and download the PDF it builds.

A QR Booking Card is counter-sized. Create a Flyer makes one for a noticeboard or a letterbox. Both point at the showcase page, which is the right landing spot for someone who has never booked with you.

Tip

Test the QR with your own phone before you print a hundred. It is the same link, so if the showcase page is not published yet the card is a dead end.
