Pick a report card theme

Card themes dress each report card for the visit, a birthday, Christmas, a first sleepover or the season, picked from the visit date, the service and the pet. They are off until you turn them on.

A theme changes how a report card looks, never what it says. Your notes, photos and the rest of the card stay as they are.

  1. Open Settings, Card Themes.
  2. Under Card themes, choose Auto, or Auto with my house style and pick a style under House style.
  3. Under What gets a theme, leave Holidays, Pet milestones and Seasons on, and switch on Fun pet days if you want them.
  4. Select Save card themes.

Petboost goes by the date of the visit, not the day you send, so a card sent on 3 January for a visit on 24 December is still a Christmas card. A date pinned under Campaign pins beats everything else. Cultural and religious days start unticked, because Petboost never guesses which days your clients celebrate. On 25 April and 11 November cards stay quiet.

To use one theme for a visit, open the appointment's Notes & Attachments, select Preview report card, then choose a theme from Choose theme. Petboost remembers it on this browser and uses it for every report card you send from here, one at a time or with Bulk Send in Mission Control, until you choose another. Automatic (Card themes settings) hands the choice back to your settings.

Check

With themes on, Send Report Card shows the theme the card will get, and Send plain sends this one without it. A card keeps the theme it was first sent with, so changing your settings later never changes a card an owner already has. Owners who prefer plain cards can choose Plain report cards in their own preferences.
