A team checklist belongs in Rounds & Tasks, whether you run a table, a pen block, a van or a training yard. Each job is a task for the business, due every day.
- Optional: in Settings, Rounds, add a round for each checklist, such as Opening at 7:00 am and Closing at 6:00 pm, then select Save rounds. If your business sells stays, skip this step and give each task a Time instead.
- Open Rounds & Tasks and select Add task.
- If For shows, choose The business.
- Name the job, such as Unlock and check the premises, and choose What kind of job.
- Under Repeats, choose Every day.
- Choose the Round or a Time.
- Optional: choose Who does it, and write the detail under Instructions.
- Select Add task, then repeat for each job on the checklist.
Each job is ticked on its own, because a task has no tick list inside it. That is what shows you which job was missed and who did the rest. Grouped by Round, each checklist shows as its own group with how many are done.
A job that is not daily takes another Repeats: restocking poo bags suits A few days after it is done, and a weekly deep clean suits Every few days. Anyone with a job of their own today sees it under My day on Me.
Trap
A task due Every day is due on every day of the week. On a day you are closed, select Skip with a reason from the row's menu, or set an Until date when the task should stop.
Check
Never use an intake form for a team checklist. A form with Who fills it in set to Your client goes to your clients.
Dog walking: a van check and a key count work as tasks for the business, with no booking needed, so they show on the day even before the first walk. Dog training: set-up and pack-down for a Saturday class is a task with a Time, ticked by whoever is on the field.
