The owner opens the report card and their dog is swimming. Video Booster is for that moment. A clip on the appointment plays silently on a loop with the photos, and a tap opens it full screen with sound. Owners pay nothing to watch.
Video Booster is switched on business by business. If you do not see it in Petboost, ask us in chat.
Clips on appointments, a video on each service and a video on each course lesson all draw on one pool: 15 hours of video held at once on Video Booster, 40 hours on Video Booster Max.
Switch it on
Only an owner or admin can activate it, on Business Pro, Flex or Max. On Enterprise our team turns it on for each location, and each location gets its own pool.
- Open Billing and choose Plan & Power-Ups.
- On the Video Booster card, select Activate.
- Choose Video Booster or Video Booster Max, check the price, then select Activate Video Booster or Activate Video Booster Max.
Add a clip to an appointment
- Open the booking from Appointments.
- Open Notes & Attachments and stay on From your business.
- Under Customer-facing Photos & Attachments, add the clip the way you add a photo.
- Under Notify customer?, choose Email, SMS or Do silently, then select Publish Changes.
A clip can be up to 20 seconds on Video Booster and up to 60 seconds on Video Booster Max. It shows on the report card, in the owner's visit journal, on their Photos page and on the pet's timeline. Only your business and that pet's owner can play it.
Check
On Video Booster, appointment clips are kept for 90 days. On Video Booster Max they never expire.
Add a video to a service
- Open Services, select Manage on the service, then Manage Service.
- Choose Basic Info and switch on Advanced options.
- Under Listing Details, in Service Video, choose Upload a video and add it.
- Select Publish Changes, tick the box in Before You Publish, then select Publish Changes.
It shows on the service tile in your online booking and on your Showcase page. A service video can be up to 60 seconds, or 3 minutes on Video Booster Max. A YouTube or Vimeo link still works: choose Link a video.
Add a video to a course lesson
- Open Courses, select Manage on the course template, then Manage Template.
- Choose Lesson Details, select Lesson-specific Notes and open a session.
- Under Customer-facing Photos & Attachments, add the video.
- Select Publish Changes, tick the box in Before You Publish, then select Publish Changes.
Owners enrolled in the course see it with the lesson notes. A lesson video can be up to 10 minutes, or 30 minutes on Video Booster Max.
Free up minutes
The pool is what you hold at once, so deleting a video gives its minutes back.
- Open Billing and choose Plan & Power-Ups.
- On the Video Booster card, select Manage.
- Under YOUR VIDEOS, select the bin icon on the video, then Delete video.
The video is removed everywhere it showed, including the report card. Need more room? Add packs of 10 more hours under EXTRA HOURS on the same screen.
Trap
Turning Video Booster off keeps the videos you have, but appointment clips then follow the 90-day rule.
