Multi-location and organisations

A second site is a second business account with its own calendar, team and clients. One thing sits above them both, and it is the bill.

Opening a second site does not widen the one you have. It adds another business account beside it, with its own calendar, its own team, its own services and its own clients, and an organisation above the two that carries the subscription.

That split is where the surprises come from. Almost everything you think of as "the account" belongs to a site, and the short list that does not belongs to Enterprise HQ.

What a location owns

Locations lists every site in the organisation. Each row carries its own address, email and time zone.

  1. Open Locations.
  2. Select Add Location.
  3. Enter the Location Name, Email, Address and Timezone, then select Add Location.

The pencil on a row, Edit location, changes the same four fields for a site you already have.

The time zone is the row to read twice. A site in another state runs its own day, and the calendar takes the hours, the reminders and the cut-off from here, not from the site you happen to be looking at.

Note: The Primary location has no remove control. Every other row does.

Switching is a whole context change

Select your business name at the top of the sidebar, and the Locations list in the menu shows every site you have access to.

  1. Select your business name at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Under Locations, choose the site you want.

Choosing one is not a filter. Petboost sets it as your active business and reloads the same section of the app for that site, so the calendar, the clients, the team and the takings all change with it. Your role can differ per site, which is why the same person can hold the card details at one and only see the day at another.

Check

A booking you cannot find is usually on the other site. Switch, then search again.

What HQ owns instead

Enterprise HQ is the layer above the sites, and its tabs are the honest list of what lives there.

The plan, the power-ups, the card and the invoices are the organisation's. Everything else on that list of tabs is absent on purpose: there is no organisation calendar and no organisation client list, because those belong to a site. How many sites you can add comes from your subscription, and Enterprise HQ shows the count against it.
