Four switches under Automatic Actions move a booking from Confirmed to paid without anybody touching it, and you can turn on as few of them as you like.
- Open Settings, then Automatic Actions.
- Turn on the switches you want, which run in this order: Auto-start appointments at the scheduled start time, Auto-complete appointments when the booked duration ends, Auto-finalise appointments to raise the invoice half an hour after that, and Auto-pay invoices to charge the card on file once the booking reaches Ready to Pay.
- Select Publish Changes, tick the box in Before You Publish, then select Publish Changes. Turning on Auto-pay invoices also asks you to tick I understand & take responsibility.
Tip
Auto-pay invoices charges the card on file for bookings in Ready to Pay, including one you checked out by hand. Somebody who wants to check the work before it bills leaves it off and takes payment by hand. Automatic Actions sits behind an upgrade on some plans, and the guide beside this recipe says which.
