Build your vehicle log book for the BAS

The log book turns a quarter of recorded visits into a per-stop vehicle log for your accountant.

Open Trips, then Actions, and select Export log book.
Under BAS quarter, choose the quarter, then select Build log book.
Optional: enter your own rate in Cents per km.
Tick the box under Check this before you file it.
Select Download CSV for your accountant, or Print PDF for the folder.

Built from recorded check-ins

Distances come from where your team actually checked in, not from the booked addresses. A stop nobody checked into still appears, with its booked time and no distance.

The log is a per-stop record of booked times, the check-in and check-out you recorded on the job, and the drive between stops. Cents per km starts on the ATO rate for the period when Petboost holds one, and the Estimate beside it is a guide, not tax advice. The two exports stay switched off until the box is ticked, because the timings and distances are only as good as the check-ins behind them.

Tip

On a phone or tablet, Export log book is also in the Plan drawer, and on a phone the toolbar menu reads More rather than Actions.
