Switching from Revelation Pets

Take your customer file out of Revelation Pets and load it into Petboost from Customers & Pets, or hand the whole move to us.

In Revelation Pets, open Customers, then Tools, then Export, and the file downloads with every customer and pet in it. Only an admin login sees that option. The file holds no bookings at all, so take those separately from the Bookings report, under Tools, then Export to Excel, and widen its date range first, because it defaults to the past week. On our own migrations the customer file has also left out the dated care notes on each pet, the full vet record and any second contact on the customer, which live on the pet and customer pages.

1. Open Customers & Pets, open the gear menu and select Import Customers & Pets.
2. Select Magic CSV Import.
3. Add the file under CSV Files (1-2 files), then select Magic Validate.
4. Read anything listed under Errors or Skipped, then select Import to Petboost.

The import takes CSV files only, so save the file as CSV if it is not already. It reads the dogs from a column headed Pet or Pets in a single file, or from a second file of pets, and an owner needs a first name, a phone number and at least one pet, or the row is left out and listed under Errors or Skipped. The Import Your Data step of the Launch wizard leads to the same import through Import Customers & Pets, but only before the first client is in, and not during a trial.

On an assisted migration you can skip the export. We read what the file leaves out straight from your Revelation Pets account. The medical, dietary and behaviour notes on a pet are read into attributes on the way in, so an anxious dog carries an Anxious attribute that a booking rule can read. Vaccinations come across with their expiry dates.

Store credit arrives on the owner's profile as Account Balance Credit, and a part-used package keeps the credits that were left on it. A membership keeps its next billing date. Cards cannot move, so each member adds theirs in Petboost before that date, or the membership ends. The 24 hours starts when you give us access, usually at the demo, and the switching page lists what moves and what stays behind.
