Take your client list out of MoeGo and load it into Petboost from Customers & Pets, or hand the whole move to us.
To export from MoeGo yourself, open the Client & Pet list, then Options at the top right, then Export Clients. That is the route for the whole book. Ticking clients and choosing Bulk Edit, then Export, only exports the ones you ticked, so a filtered smart list quietly leaves everyone else out. The same care applies to appointments: a report downloaded from Insights holds only the columns showing in the table, inside whatever filters and date range are set.
Check the client file before you rely on it. On our own migrations it has left out much of what sits on each pet, weights, birthdays and codes among them, and come back short of clients that MoeGo still lists.
- Open Customers & Pets, open the gear menu and select Import Customers & Pets.
- Select Magic CSV Import.
- Add the file under CSV Files (1-2 files), then select Magic Validate.
- Read anything listed under Errors or Skipped, then select Import to Petboost.
The import reads MoeGo's client file as one combined file, with each client's pets in a single column. It takes CSV files only, and an owner needs a first name, a phone number and at least one pet, or the row is left out and listed under Errors or Skipped. The Import Your Data step of the Launch wizard leads to the same import through Import Customers & Pets, but only before the first client is in, and not during a trial.
On an assisted migration you can skip the export. We take the book straight out of your MoeGo account where MoeGo lets us, weights, birthdays and codes included. Pet codes and client tags arrive as attributes on the pet, so a Double coat code stays a Double coat attribute, and an attribute is the kind of label that can carry extra time or money on the booking. MoeGo discount codes come across too, as a booking property set sitting behind an attribute, which is how a discount you used to apply by hand ends up riding on the pet instead.
Store credit lands on the owner's profile as Account Balance Credit, a figure the owner can see that never comes off a bill by itself. A part-used package keeps the credits left on it and a membership keeps its next billing date. Cards cannot move, so each member adds theirs in Petboost before that date, or the membership ends. The 24 hours starts when you give us access, usually at the demo, and the switching page lists what moves and what stays behind.
